We’re looking for a hands-on and proactive Systems Support Specialist to strengthen our IT team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting and optimising our ERP/EAM systems, enabling colleagues across the business to work efficiently and without interruption. You will play a key part in shaping our business-focused support function and contribute to the implementation of our new ERP/EAM platform. Your work ensures Dixstone continues to operate smoothly and effectively.
As a Systems Support Specialist, you will participate in setting up and running a business-oriented systems support function and contribute to implementing the company’s new ERP/ EAM system. Your commitment and personal contributions will be essential for the joint success of our IT organization, and will ensure Dixstone employees are provided with efficient and timely support to uninterruptedly run their business operations.
Role and responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical systems support to end users of the company's ERP/ EAM systems
- Monitor systems performance and propose and implement improvements
- Troubleshoot system incidents and perform configuration and customisation tasks necessary for incident resolution
- Communicate with vendor representatives to support complex incident resolution and customisation request fulfilment
- Help business stakeholders to formulate their requests for new functionality and formalise business requirements for customisations and new system deployments
- Perform analysis, configuration and customisation tasks related to the change requests for the company ERP/ EAM systems
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of applications, including technical specifications and system changes
- Gather data and evaluate potential software to be deployed following the business request for new functionalities
- Oversee the deployment of the new applications and software updates, and act as liaison between software vendors and the company
- Manage system access rights and license consumption
- Prepare, maintain and update reference and educational materials for end users
- Facilitate training programs for ERP/ EAM and other Dixstone systems users, enhancing system proficiency across the organisation
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in functional and technical support of ERP/ EAM and other enterprise-grade systems, with functional knowledge across various key ERP/ EAM modules
- Solid knowledge of the ERP SCM module is a plus
- Scripting skills for automation and customisation tasks
- Knowledge of Jira or similar ticketing tools
- Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to communicate technical information in an accessible manner to business stakeholders
- Agile mindset, ability to continuously prioritise and effectively execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Customer-centric and collaborative work attitude
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
