After two months in transit from Flushing on the Dixstone owned semi-sub transport barge Karaveg, and 10 days of reactivation in Port-Gentil, The MOLQU COLGA, renamed MOPU-C, was jacked into its final position last month on the Tchatamba field, Gabon.
Tchendo II is the most complex project performed in Dixstone Shipyard Holland near Vlissing in The Netherlands. This second hand rig, installed in 90 meters water depth, has been converted to a MOPoDU, Mobile Offshore Power and Drilling Unit for a development project in Congo Brazzaville.

Perenco Rio del Rey, operator of the Rio del Rey PSC along with its partners SNH and Addax Petroleum have decided a pause on their multi million redevelopment plan of the multiple stacked reservoirs spread across the basin. The pause is welcome for Dixstone to allow some fundamental maintenance of the rig and its tender barge ADN130, all maintenance being done in situ in Cameroon improving the local content of the project..
The MIDIR rig has been selected by Perenco Oil & Gas Gabon in 2017 among Dixstone Drilling fleet to develop the Ganga field, a thin 11m oil ring located in the magnificent forest of Gabon. The field was originally discovered in the 80’s and never fully developed. By having a dedicated skidding rig available permanently on location, POGG and Dixstone have industrialized the development of the field, drilling close to 50 wells in less than 5 years from 7 drilling pads with excellent safety records and rig uptime, lowering in fine the cost per well. More than 60 million barrels have been unlocked from this semi-abandoned field!
